Her hair is silvery in a layered kind of haircut, a single ahoge sticks out and down from the top of her head. She wears her stripped stockings with shorts, a plain white shirt under a fur hood jacker that is dark navy blue. She has headphones with her often, her shoes are often fur boots.
Monika's favourite bands are And One, Miss Construction, Studio Killers, Marina and the Diamonds, Green day.

Monika is a 16-17 year old junior year at Sumire Gakuen. She's not the most popular student at Sumire, but she is in one of the school's bands. Their band name is the "Suicidal Monkeys", a rock and post hardcore band. She's the vocals of the band. Her life was mundane and normal, until one day her eye was caught on a fellow classmate named Avelyn. Her life was changed instantly, and everything was instantly about Avelyn. Her love soon became sickly and harmful. She would hide in the school bathroom after school ends just to watch Avelyn walk out of the Arts department when she stayed behind to work on her projects. She would take photos of Avelyn sneakily, but she would never talk to Avelyn more than a mutual. She wouldn't let her become too close to Avelyn, because Avelyn has a boyfriend. She knew Avelyn would never love her more than an accomplice this way, so she eventually killed Avelyn's boyfriend by drowning him in the pool, which was perfect since her boyfriend was on the swim team.
